Galatians 2:11-21

GRACE VS. LAW

Know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. . Galatians 2:16, NIV

There are two distinct eras in the Bible. They are, the era of grace and the era of law. God gave His people (Israelites) law to follow in the Old Testament. The law was given as guide to lead them back to God. However, the era of grace came through Jesus Christ in the New Testament, and through grace we are saved. Today’s passage reflects the potential danger and bondage that law can bring. In fact, verse 13 tells us that hypocrisy is one of the dangers of relying on the law.

Today, we have received grace and we are free from the rigidity of the law. Jesus alone knows how best He wants you to live your daily life, so, He will direct you and grant the grace to live such expected life. To be obedient to Gods law is to heed Christ’s leading and receive His grace to do so. Your spiritual growth qualifies you for God’s grace and liberates you from the scourging effects of the law. God’s grace alone is sufficient for you!

Birthday Blessing: “...See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put rich garments on you.” Zechariah 3:4
