Galatians 4:28 - 5:1

FREE IN CHRIST

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free... Galatians 5:1, KJV

To be free is to exist without being imprisoned, enslaved with yoke of bondage or obligation. People who live as aliens in foreign countries where they cannot move, walk, work or act anyhow will appreciate what it means to be free. Today’s
passage points us to the truth that as Christians, who have accepted the promised inheritance in Christ we have been freed from the bondage of the bondwoman.

Many claim to have Christ but are still in the bondage of false prophets and spiritualists who they consult before taking any step. These have become their bondwoman. Again, some confess Christ as their Lord but are still bound by sin. They refuse to acknowledge that the freedom which Christ purchased with His own blood is not a license for us to abound in sin. To maximize and manifest in our promised inheritance, we need to adhere by the dictates of the free woman. We need to consult Christ alone for all our decisions and make a habit of holy living. Only then can we range freely in the wide field of our God.
