Fayose “The Buhari government is dictatorial”

Ekiti State GovernorAyo Fayose has described the government of President Muhammadu Buhari as dictatorial.

He also accused the administration of plotting to kill the opposition by destabilizing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to a statement released by his media aide, Idowu Adelusi, Fayose made the comments on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, after the postponement of the PDP convention.

The statement reads:
“I witnessed what the police did early today in Port Harcourt, it is most unfortunate. It has shown that we are indeed in a perilous time in the country.”
“The APC is desperate to kill opposition and silence others‎ because they are afraid that their inability to properly govern the country and tackle the challenges facing us as a nation would be exposed by a virile PDP.
“The Buhari government is dictatorial. There is tension everywhere.‎ All sectors are down and they are focusing on killing the opposition.‎ What business has APC with PDP internal matters?
“If they said they wanted to act on court orders, why didn't they act on more than four orders that were in favour of the Markafi group?‎ They don't have answers to the terrible situations in the country but they know that an organised PDP will be embolden to challenge them.”
The PDP was forced to postpone its convention after security officials sealed off the proposed venue, Sharks Stadium.
Senior members of the party eventually met at the Government House and decided to suspend the convention and the election of its principal officers.
The PDP has been in crisis since it attempted to remove Ali Modu Sheriff as chairman on May 21.
