WHERE IS YOUR STRENGTH?

“So l will strengthen them in the Lord, and they shall walk up and down in His name,” says the Lord. Zechariah 10:12, NIV

Self-confidence can be very damaging. When we think that we are capable in ourselves, we should realize that God will not back us up. Dore Schary once said, "A person who calls himself frank and candid can easily find himself becoming tactless and
cruel. A person who prides himself on being tactful can find eventually that be has become evasive and deceitful. A person with firm convictions can become pig-headed. A person who is inclined to be temperate and judicious can sometimes turn into someone with weak convictions and banked fires of resolution.”

What we all need is strength in the Lord. We must never develop confidence in anyone else but God. Let us ensure that we are not relying on human beings for our strength. We cannot afford to count on our abilities. We cannot afford to depend on society or influence We must recognize that only God can lead us through the rough terrain of life. Today, we have a promise that God will give us strength. Let us accept it and “walk up and down in His name.”

Birthday Blessing: “No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.” Isaiah 54:17

RBT Passage: Ps. 7477; Rom. 14

The common conception is that motivation leads to action, but the reverse is true- action precedes motivation. —Robert J Mckain
