Isaiah 49:8-13

YOUR TIME HAS COME

Thus says the LORD: “In an acceptable time I have heard you ...“ Isaiah 49:8, NKJV

Time is crucial in all that we do. In our text today, God speaks about an acceptable time. The word ‘Acceptable’ means satisfactory, or appropriate. In other words, God heard the
people when it was appropriate to do so. He did not let the opportunity of the right moment pass by. This mean; 1) God will never forget us. He will act at just the right time. 2) God knows the best time. Let us not become weary of waiting for Him. 3) God expects us to value time. We need to pay attention to the way we live so that we will not miss the opportunity to connect with God or those around us. We need to stop the habits of rushing ahead of God or procrastinating.

Someone write “If you have work to do, do it now. If you have a witness to give, give it now. If you have a soul to win, win him now. If you have an obligation to discharge, discharge it now... Remember, time is passing and you are passing out of time. We are a procrastinating lot. It is always what we are going to do tomorrow that entices us, but it is only what we do today that counts.” Learn to value time today.

Birthday Blessing: "Now I will break their yoke from your neck and tear your shackles away.” Nahum 1:13

RBT Passage: Ps. 53-58; Rom. 11:1-12

Learn to define yourself, to content yourself with some specific thing and some definite work; dare to be what you really are, and to learn to accept with good grace all that you are not. - John Mason
