Isaiah 53:1-6

BY HIS BRUISES WE ARE HEALED

But he was pierced for our transgressions …and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5, NIV

Isaiah 53 came as a prophecy through Prophet Isaiah as God’s intending plan for the salvation of man.
Centuries later, it came to pass through Jesus Christ who became the sacrificial Lamb for the atonement of man’s sins. Isaiah’s prediction that He was despised and rejected by men (v. 3) was necessary for Him to fulfil the task ahead of Him since no one
would willingly murder someone he loves. He suffered the penalty of the sin He never committed. God allowed this so that He would take upon Himself the penalty for man’s sin in order for God to work out salvation for man (vs. 5-6) and give healing from the affliction of sins.

It is instructive to note that Christ bore our grief so that we may not bear the same again. He, thus, provides us the way-out of our sins. He also makes available the provision for healing in all ramifications. Once a man acknowledges this work of salvation carried out by Christ and accepts His Lordship over his life, he will be saved and healed from all of his spiritual and physical infirmities. Do you feel bruised by the devil and sin? Accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour today and be healed.

Birthday Blessing: May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. (Psalm 20:4)

When someone tells you, “You’ve changed,” it might simply be because you’ve stopped living your life their way. - Anonymous
