The Borno State Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice, Hon. Kaka Shehu Lawan has called for the arrest and prosecution of Ali Modu Sheriff, the former governor of the state.
Lawan said sheriff is responsible for the growth of Boko Haram.
Speaking on Tuesday, August 23, at one of the sessions at the ongoing annual conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the Commissioner alleged that Sheriff played a vital role in the emergence of the sect.
He said Sheriff encouraged the spread of the Islamic terrorist group, adding that his arrest will be a consolation to millions of victims of the terrorits.
