Some members of the disabled community are protesting the portrayal of a disabled character in "Me Before You."
The film which is based on the 2012 novel of same name by Jojo Moyes, stars "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke, Sam Claflin, Jenna Coleman, Charles Dance, Matthew Lewis, Ben Lloyd-Hughes and Janet McTeer.
"Me Before You" tells the story of a small-town girl who gets a job caring for a paralyzed banker named William Traynor. She forms an unlikely bond with the recently-paralyzed Traynor.
Some disability activists have called out the film for its ending, which shows the disabled character deciding to end his own life with Dignitas; a Swiss group helping those with terminal illness and severe physical and mental illnesses to die.
Using the hashtag#MeBeforeAbleism, they have shared their views on various social media platforms.
