Arsenal draw Milan in Europa last 16

Seven-time European champions AC Milan will face Arsenal in the standout last-16 tie in the Europa League after the draw was made in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday.
It will be the first time the two clubs have met since Milan won 4-3 on aggregate to reach the Champions League quarterfinals in 2012 where they lost to Barcelona.
Spanish favourites Atletico Madrid take on Lokomotiv Moscow while Milan's Serie A rivals Lazio will face Dinamo Kiev.

Ronaldo, Messi again rule in Europe

As the stakes mounted in the Champions League, the usual suspects once more rose to the occasion with Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski starring in the last 16, first legs.
Season after season, these pre-eminent performers deliver on the biggest stages and administer severe punishment to striving title contenders – including Neymar's aspiring Paris Saint-Germain.
A Ronaldo double propelled holders Real to a 3-1 advantage over PSG in Spain, while Messi grabbed a vital away goal for Barcelona in a 1-1 draw at Premier League champions Chelsea.

Atletico cut gap on Barca

French striker Antoine Griezmann hit a hat-trick as Atletico Madrid thrashed Sevilla 5-2 on Sunday to cut the gap on La Liga leaders Barcelona back to seven points.
The result was also a boost for Manchester United, who face Sevilla in the Champions League last 16 second leg next month afer the two sides were locked 0-0 from the first game.
"I'm very happy with the team's work, but a little less happy that we conceded two goals," said Griezmann.
"It's good that we have several forwards who score goals, but the most important thing is the three points."
Former Chelsea star Diego Costa grabbed the opener just before the half-hour mark after a farcical mix-up in the Sevilla defence.
