Doctors, under the auspices of the National Association of Resident Doctors at the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, have begun an indefinite strike.

The doctors were said to have resorted to the industrial action in order to protest against irregularities in the payment of their salaries.

The President, NARD, FMC, Yenagoa Branch, Dr. Chukwunonso Okoye, said that doctors at the medical facility had been receiving only 48 per cent of their salaries for the past four months.

It was November 2014 in Nigeria. I was instructing in a church located in a city in a South-West state when this beautiful young woman approached me after the session. The Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Jonathan Gaza has defended the decision of the Green Chambers to buy 360 vehicles worth N3.6b.

The House of Representatives came under fire for deciding to spend such an amount on cars during an economic recession.

Gaza, while speaking on the issue, stated that the vehicles are not the personal properties of the lawmakers.
