Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) Has Finally Been Unveiled

There have been quite a few rumors over the past couple of months that Samsung has the Galaxy A8 (2016) in the pipeline. Benchmark results have brought us the expected specifications of this handset multiple times and it has recently received the relevant certifications. The Galaxy A8 (2016) user manual we spotted about a week ago revealed that the handset will feature the new Grace UX introduced with the Galaxy Note 7 as well as support for Samsung Pay. Samsung has finally unveiled the Galaxy A8 (2016) officially in South Korea.

Amid reports of explosive Note7 earlier this month, India’s civil aviation authority, DGCA, had restricted users from turning-on or charging the Galaxy Note 7 when on a flight. They also barred flyers from putting the smartphone in their checked-in luggage.

In its latest advisory, the DGCA also noted that it is lifting the ban only from units that have been purchased after Sept. 15.

Abdulmumin Jibrin, former chairman house of representatives committee on appropriations, has issued one-week ultimatum to his colleagues who may have “illegally taken or stolen any money” to return it to the clerk of the national assembly or risk being exposed.

The Code of Conduct Bureau has begun massive verification of assets declared by top serving and former public officers at the federal, state and local government levels.

A statement by the Chairman of the CCB, Mr. Sam Saba, released by the Press and Protocol Unit of the bureau on Thursday, stated that the exercise involved physical appearance of the concerned public officers before the bureau for conference and field verifications of their declared assets.

Conference verification requires public officers to present documents relating to their declared assets to designated officials of the bureau.

Lalai Nkeki, the father of Kauna, one of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls, has been killed by Boko Haram.

Hosea Tsambido, Chairman of the Chibok community in Abuja, told TheCable that Nkeki was killed at Kubumbalah, a village near Chibok, last Monday when insurgents attacked some villages in Borno State, killing at least eight other people and hoisting their flag.

“Kauna’s father, Nkeki, was killed in an attack at Kubumbalah, near Chibok two days ago by Boko Haram. Kauna is one of the Chibok girls.” Tsambido said in a telephone interview with TheCable.

Is Davido & His Baby Mama Sophia Momodu getting back together?

Davido and the mother of his daughter, Sophia Momodu, have been at each other’s throats for sometime now.

With the two getting into a series of public fights including the infamous child abduction case in January which saw Davido, Sophia and her uncle – Dele Momodu put each other on blast on social media and even as recent as June when she called Davido a dead beat dad.

There was confusion at Sycamore Junction, Ajara Topa area of Badagry, Lagos State, after some customs officers allegedly opened fire on some residents.

It was learnt that the officers, who were attached to the Federal Operations Unit, were chasing a smuggler who had fled into the community.

Among the four people hit by stray bullets were a motorcycle rider, Alayoade Arewayo and one John Sonayo. While Arewayo survived and was rushed to a private hospital in Badagry, Sonayo was said to have died in transit from the Badagry General Hospital to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.

A baby boy has been born with a rare condition making him look like an 80-year-old.

The birth of the infant stunned doctors at a hospital in the district of Magura, Bangladesh on Sunday, September 25, who said the baby has a rare condition called progeria.The syndrome causes wrinkles on the face, a very sunken body and hollow eyes reminiscent of elderly features.

"The baby does not look like a newborn at all," said a doctor who has been treating the baby.
"There are prominent signs of ageing such a excessive wrinkles and rough skin texture."

The parents of the baby are said to be jubilant with the birth of their "miracle" child.

Biswajit Patro, father of the baby, who is a farmer, is ecstatic and cannot hold back his happiness.
