At a cost of five billion rupees (which is $74m, £59m or N23bn), this Hindu wedding ofBrahmani Reddy and her fiancé, Rajeev Reddy, is thought to have cost MORE than Kate Middleton and Prince William’s, which is thought to have cost ‘just’ £20m.

The wedding of this businessman and Indian politician’s daughter has been met with anger as millions of Indians are struggling while these rich families throw cash around for no good reason.

Former politician-turned-mining mogul, Gali Janardhan Reddy picked up the tab for a five-day celebration that was said to welcome a staggering 50,000 guests and employed some 3,000 security personnel.
Along with the 3,000 bouncers, 300 police officers were hired to ensure the event goes off without a hitch.
Gold-plated invitations with LCD screens showing video of the soon-to-be happy couple were sent out to guests.
