One of the handlers of the Super Eagles, Amodu Shuaibu has been denied visa to France where Nigeria will be playing a friendly game.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be playing a friendly game against Mali on Friday, May 27 in France.
Preperations ahead of the friendly have been blighted by visa problems as the coaches and Sunshine Stars goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa were only handed their entry on Tuesday, May 24.
The team departed Abuja on Tuesday for France but Shuaibu who was billed to supervise the young home-based coaches that will handle the Eagles was missing.
“I am not going because they did not issue me a visa to enable me to accompany the team to France,” former Nigeria coach Amodu told Complete Sport.
“I was supposed to supervise and guide the coaches but since the French embassy in their wisdom deemed me surplus to the team, I stay back.”
