Lionel Messi: Five-time FIFA World Footballer of the Year named Huawei ambassador

Media reports reveal that Chinese tech giant,Huawei, has announced Barcelona FC star,Lionel Messi, as its global brand ambassador.

Huawei says the partnership with Messi showcases its alignment with people and brands that demonstrate and strive for its shared value of "connecting greatness".

Five-time FIFA World Footballer of the Year, Messi, joins Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandoski, and Arsenal frontman, Alexis Sanchez, as Huawei's global ambassadors.
"Lionel Messi will help our brand to encourage people to focus, persevere and breakthrough. We both honour the path we walked to what we have achieved, and with each new challenge, we renew our commitment to find the path to success," says President of the handset business unit at Huawei,Kevin Ho

In the last few years, Huawei has partnered with several football teams including Santa Fe,Sporting Cristal, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, and AC Milan.
