Zephaniah 3:6-8
THE CONSEQUENCES OF DISOBEDIENCE
“Therefore wait for me,” declares the LORD, “for the day I will stand up to testify’...” Zephaniah 3:8, NIV
A father once taught his son that God hates stubbornness and disobedience. However, when this son was to travel on an errand, He disobeyed his father by stealing his ATM card with the intention of withdrawing money for his personal use. Fortunately, the father discovered that the card had been stolen and quickly instructed his bank to block the card. The boy became stranded where he went and had to beg for money to return home in shame.
It costs more to face the consequences of disobedience. God had allowed His people to suffer in the hands of their enemies because of their stubbornness and disobedience. Every child of God should learn how to obey the Lord. You need to check your life now; is there an area you are doing partial obedience to the Word of God? Many people obey God when it is convenient, but disobey Him when the going gets tough. No matter the situation you find yourself, you must seek to obey God more than other things.
Birthday Blessing: ‘Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land forever...”
Isa. 60:21
RBT Passage: 1 Chr. 7: John 15
