AMBASSADORS IN CHRIST

We are therefore Christ's ambassador, as though God were making his appeal through God were making his appeal through us... 2 Corinthians 5:20

It is evident from our passage that Paul was awed by his new stand in Christ (v. 17). The position is the basis of all the spiritual blessings every believer possesses.

As new creatures in Christ, we have new life, new power, new interests, new knowledge, and a new destination. The "old things" passed away at the moment of salvation. We must no longer be motivated by the "old things."

The Scripture says, "To whom much is given, much is expected." Because we have been given so much, God in turn made us His ambassadors in Christ so that we can communicate the message of reconciliation to the unsaved (v.20).

As Christ's ambassadors, we must be above reproach, faithfully conveying the Master's message, and complying with the laws of the Kingdom of God. This is a great privilege. You that have been redeemed owe a great debt to the One who died in your place. How faithful are you to the ministry of reconciliation given to you as an ambassador in Christ?

Pray with this: "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you" Isaiah 60:1
