Romans 9:6-18
LIVING UNDER GOD’S MERCY
So, it depends not upon man’s will or exertion, but upon God’s mercy. Romans 9:16, RSV
God’s act of forgiving us when we deserve to be punished is highly commendable. He chose to have mercy and compassion on us not because we are righteous or deserve it by reason of our works and religious piety. It is because of His mercy that we are not consumed. We should not abuse the grace of God upon our lives. He has brought us from death to life eternal. Let us abide faithfully and thankfully in His presence always. God has called us to be His own. He has chosen us and freely given us all things by His grace. Let us appreciate Him and be determined to live for Him.
Continually dwell in the secret place of prayer and praises for by His mercies He has chosen you as His child. You are free from the bondage of sin and traditions. Satan can no longer hold you to ransom, for your sins are forgiven. Therefore, live a life of purity in obedience to God’s word. Study His word daily and do not forsake the coming together of Iike-faith believers.
Birthday Blessing: “Though mountains be shaken … my unfailing love for you will not be shaken….” Isaiah 54:10
RBT Passage: Ps. 49-52; Rom. 10
The first law of success... is concentration- to bend all the energies to one point, and to go directly to that point, looking neither to the right nor to the left. - William Matthews
