WATCH YOUR WALK
Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will both save yourself and those who hear you. 1 Timothy 4:16, NIV
It is reported that when Edward VI, the King of England in the 16th century, attended a worship service, he stood while the Word of God was read, took notes and later studied them with great care. In the course of the week, he earnestly tried to apply them to his life.
Paul admonishes Timothy to live such a life. We are called to a lifestyle that truly reflects our conviction. As we go out to our daily assignments today, God's challenge to us is to consider how we live our lives. We are challenged to demonstrate integrity of conviction through our lifestyles.
There are conflicting signals all around us. Sermons and teachings of all forms abound around. Christian lifestyle is no longer unambiguous. From one place to another, there are numerous interpretations being made to suit jaundiced lifestyles. Beloved, God is calling us to be mindful of how we live. We are called to watch our walk.
Pray with this: For the LORD will ransom Jacob, and redeem them from the hand of those stronger than they. Jeremiah 31:11
RBT Passage: Ps. 86-89; 1 Corinthians 1
Do not follow where the path may lead-go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.- Anonymous
