GOD’S WORD STANDS FOREVER

… but the word of our God stands forever. Isa 40:8, NIV

My pastor once told the testimony of a widow whose twelve years old son died. The woman was at the shop while the boy died at home due to a sudden illness. The pastor and some
church leaders had arrived at the woman’s place to arrange for the burial and to console her before she returned from the shop. To their surprise, she did not cry when she heard; instead, she carried the boy and said, “God, I communed with You This morning. You didn’t tell me my son would die You told me You would preserve him and do great things in his life. So now, I believe he is only sleeping. God, raise this boy and bring Your word to pass in his life.” As she was speaking, rubbing her hand at the boy’s back, he got revived. Everybody was amazed at her faith. In fact, the pastor and church leaders just thanked God for honouring His words.

This woman knew that every other thing could fail, but not the Word of God. So, she held on to what God had told her and saw it manifest. What has God told you concerning your life? Hold on to it, regardless of the contrary situation. God cannot joke or lie with His word. May His words and promises find expression in your life.
