HEALING CAN'T WAIT!

Jesus asked the Pharisees and expert in the law, "is it lawyer to heal on the Sabbath or not?" Luke 14:3, NIV

According to the Jewish understanding of the existing law, it was wrong to do any kind of work on the Sabbath, including healing. Interestingly, there was a man before Jesus suffering from dropsy, needing healing. Would Jesus leave the man to keep suffering because it was a Sabbath? The Pharisees would have loved Him to leave the man in that condition unattended to. But the Lord of the Sabbath was available to change the destiny of the man.


To Jesus, healing cannot just wait! For the Pharisees, the love of the law took priority; but for Jesus, it was the law of love. Jesus is far more interested in loving and healing people than Keeping rules. Jesus showed the Pharisees that God's intention for the Sabbath is to do good and to heal. Thus, the man became the recipient of an undeniable manifestation from the Lord.

Beloved, Sabbath is a day to honour the Lord with a qualitative worship but not a day to withhold good from those who need it when it is within your power to help. Again, God does not have a specific day of healing; and He does not delay His blessings to humanity. So your healing cannot wait till tomorrow, it is today!
