POWER TO OVERCOME ILLNESS

The Lord will save me, and we will sing… Isaiah 38:20, NIV

One of the gravest messages someone can hear, during a severe illness, is for the doctor to inform the person that he or she has few more days to live. In most cases, such a person usually dies even before the predicted date. The spirit to fight on for survival
often gives in to depression immediately. It takes some measure of courage for anyone to hold on, having been told that he or she would not survive a particular illness. Hezekiah found himself in that precarious condition when Prophet Isaiah gave him this message from the LORD.

Hezekiah, armed with the understanding that God would save him by releasing the power to overcome the illness, quickly prayed and God answered. The Lord added 15 years to his life! Here is the good news no matter how terrible your illness is, there is a power that can make you overcome it. As you pray to God to save you, you must believe that He has the power to heal all illnesses notwithstanding the doctor’s opinion. Like Hezekiah, you will testify of your victory, singing in the house of the Lord all the days of your life.
