Exodus 29:42-46
GOD WILL DWELL AMONG THEM
Then I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God... Exodus 29:45, NIV
The tabernacle was the symbol of God’s presence among His people, the Israelites. God instructed the Israelites through Moses to build the tabernacle for Him as His dwelling. He, however,
instructed them to keep the tabernacle holy. They were to offer also two lambs daily — one in the morning and the other in the evening at the entrance of the tabernacle.
The sacrifice was to serve as consecration offering upon which a cordial relationship between God and the people would be continually built. God ordered this to serve as a basis for His continual presence among the Israelites unto whom He promised to be their God.
We need to continue to re-echo the importance of holiness and continual consecration of ourselves towards continual enjoyment of the presence of God. God cannot dwell where there is contamination and sin. If you will be assured of His indwelling in you, you must make yourself pure always before Him. Let this be your desire today!
Pray with this: The LORD watches over you... the LORD is your shade at your right hand (Psalm
121:5)
RBT Passage: Jer. 45, 46, 47; 2 Tim. 4
Some people are making such thorough preparation for rainy days that they aren’t enjoying today’s sunshine. - William Feather
