KEEP YOUR COMMITMENT TO CHRIST

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end. Hebrews 3:14, NIV

The sad history of the nation of Israel teaches us profound and timely lessons today. The Israelites started with God but most of them did not end well because their hearts always went astray.
Many relationships are suffering today because commitment is lacking. The Scripture says we are partakers of Christ if only we hold our confidence steadfast unto the end. Becoming born again is not the end, but the beginning of a life-long journey or the cause of Christ. Apostle Paul said, who can separate us from the love of Christ? Is it tribulation, or distress, or peril, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

We must consciously guard our hearts from turning away from God this contemporary world which is filled with many things that are calling for our attention. We can do this when we hold steadfastly to the Word of God, study it, meditate on it, exhort one another daily in it and then live it every moment of the day. Receive the power to keep a total commitment to Christ as you yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
