1 Samuel 2:1-10

HANNAH PRAISES GOD

“My heart rejoices in the LORD; in the LORD my horn is lifted high... “1 Samuel 2:1, NIV

Hannah’s childlessness was probably the reason why her husband married the second wife, Peninnah who had no respect whatsoever for Hannah rather, she “provoked her severely and make her miserable (1 Samuel 1: 6-7). Are you in a similar
situation or condition as Hannah? Is your affliction or pressing need making you feel very sad? Or are people around you not helping the situation as they make you feel miserable all the time at home or church?

When the Lord visited Hannah, she gave birth to Samuel. Recounting her ordeals, the meditation of her heart produced a song of praise with the theme: “Who is like unto thee, oh Lord?” Samuel’s life eventually brought glory to the family of Elikanah and the entire nation of Israel. Beloved, be rest assured as well that your story will end in glory. You shall be treated with much honour where you have been rejected and celebrated where you have been mocked. Hannah praised God at last, you will also do the same in Jesus name. So, cheer up!

• Birthday Blessing: Because the Lord loves you, because His heart yearns for you, He will remain silent... until your righteousness shines like the dawn and your salvation blazes like a burning torch. Isa. 62:1

RBT Passage: Hosea 1, 2, 3; 3 John
