The said study involved women who were asked to write the names of men they considered as having their most desired trait in marriable man.
So, basically, if a woman's most desirable trait in a man is honesty, she would write the name of a man who supposedly embodies that trait most.

At the end of the study which involved over 2000 women, the name David popped up most.
Suggesting that women believe that men named David have many good traits which qualify them to be great husbands.
Perhaps there could be a truth to this. Look atDavid Beckham, for example; the retired sportsman has been married to Victoria Beckham for 17 years.
Other names that ranked in the top 10 are Andrew, Daniel, Paul, John, William, Simon, James, Chris and Stephen.
