Jayz and Beyonce with the Latest and the Oldest

Jay Z and Beyonce are no doubt America's sweetheart couple, and even beyond the shores of God's own nation, they are looked upon with adoring eyes and considered demi-gods in their own rights.

As popular and followed as they are though, Queen Bey andJigga are extremely private people who love to keep low profiles except when it is extremely necessary to make public appearances and announcements.

So, yesterday, February 1 2017, Beyonce announced that she is pregnant with twins and the Internet went into a frenzy.

Of course she is pregnant for Jay Z with whom she had a quiet wedding ceremony on April 4 2008, and in the wake of the big, happy news of her pregnancy, Pulse Weddings goes down memory lane and brings you five things you probably did not know about the power couple's wedding ceremony.

1. The date

JayZ and Bey chose to marry on the fourth day of the fourth month because they consider the number four their lucky number - Beyonce was born on September 4, JayZ, December 4.

2. Guest List

Despite a friends and associates' list brimming with numerous people, only 40 guests got an invitation to witness the wedding ceremony.

3. The location

The couple tied the knot inside Jay’s extravagant 13,500-sq.-ft.  penthouse in the trendy Tribeca neighborhood of New York.

4. A truly white wedding

Of course, the bride's dress was white; but that's not the only reason why the wedding looked as heavenly as it reportedly did.
It has been said that Beyonce also ordered 70,000 white dendrobium orchids (her favorite flowers) flown in from Thailand to add to the beauty of the ceremony.

5. No camera phones allowed

Before Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade pulled the same stunt for their wedding in August 2014, Beyonce and Jay Z already did it.
The couple asked that all their 40 guests leave their blackberry devices at home. Little wonder the wedding was really hush hush.
Beyonce and JayZ are currently expecting twin babies, after the birth of their first child, Blue Ivy,  in January, 2012.
