All relationships eventually move past the phase of uncertainty, where both partners just want to ‘chill’ and ‘see what happens.’
With time and many shared moments, you move past this stage and ease into a better, brighter side of the relationship, where understanding, closeness and tender affection for the other person consume you so much and you become really comfortable with the idea of being with him or her for the long-term.
When your relationship gets to this stage, you can be sure of closeness, better understanding, becoming comfortable, etc, but that’s not all you will experience.
Below are five of the signs that tell you that things are really becoming serious.
1. You'll become more about comfort than dressing
No longer will you be dressing or doing stuff to impress each other. You will rather be concerned about comfort, and better intimacy with each other as you really are.
2. Less outdoors, more indoors
All the dates to your favourite places will not outrightly end, but you'll discover that you'll rather stay in and enjoy each other's company than going out all the time as you used to.
3. Tomorrow becomes part of your discussions
Since you are no longer chilling, and both of you are becoming a lot more committed to the relationship, talks of a joint future will invariably pop up here and there every once in a while, and later becomes what you dwell on properly. That signifies the growth of the relationship.
4. Less secrets
No longer will you be hesitant to reveal your secrets to them, because trust has reached another level, and the more trust grows in the relationship, the more comfortable you get in sharing your secrets, no matter how terrible or embarrassing they are.
