According to Times Live, the body of Karabo Mokoena was discovered in Lyndhurst, South Africa at a park yesterday night. However, the police who discovered the body had no idea it was the missing young lady because the body has been burnt beyond recognition. Miss Mokoena had been missing since April 28.
Police investigations later led to the arrest of a 27-year-old man believed to be Karabo’s boyfriend.
While forensic investigations are still being done to determine whether the body found is Miss Mokoena, the chief police stated that the suspect will appear before a magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
According to Karabo’s father, Tshepo Mokoena, the boyfriend had confessed to killing and burning his daughter. The deceased had reportedly been in an abusive relationship with the suspect before they broke up.
