Carl Ikeme Shares First Photo Of Himself In Hospital And Thanks Fans For Their Prayers After Being Diagnosed With Leukaemia

Super Eagles goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has shared the first photo of him in a hospital bed and vowed to give everything in the start of a new chapter of his life.



His championship club, Wolverhampton Wanderers, confirmed on Thursday that he has leukemia and will begin an immediate course of chemotherapy.

Ikeme has vowed to bounce back, while thanking all for their love and kindness.

He tweeted;

“Thank you all for your kindness and Love. The start of a new chapter and ready to give it my all! Thank you,’’ 

He also took to Instagram to thank his fans writing;

“Just wanted to say thanks for all the messages that I have received since being diagnosed with Leukaemia this week . 

“The support that has been shown by everyone has taken me back and been hard to look at without shedding a tear I know this is going to be a tough time now but I’m going to give it 100% as I always do! Thank you.”
