Dani Alves Snubs Manchester City And Signs For PSG (See Details)

Brazilian defender, Dani Alves, who was set to join English club, Manchester City, but in a last minute u-turn, has signed for Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

34 year old Alves, who moves from Juventus, having been released from his contract, surprised many football fans as he signed a contract that keeps him at PSG until June 2019.



Alves told PSG’s website: 
“I am extremely pleased to join. In recent years I have been able to watch from outside the tremendous growth of this club, which has become a force in European football. It is very exciting to be a part of this great project.
“At all the clubs where I’ve played I’ve always given my best to help my teams go as high as possible. Believe me, I also come to Paris to win. I know the ambitions of my new club and the expectations of its many supporters throughout the world.”
According to reports, PSG offered more money..
Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol tweeted;
“PSG giving Dani Alves two-year deal worth £25m. He’ll be on £240,000 a week. Man City were offering the 34-year-old about £115,000 a week,”
