HUMBLE PLANNING
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 1 Peter 5:6, NIV
God is opposed to proud people. Thus, the Scripture says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6). “The Lord detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: they will not go unpunished” (Proverbs 16:5). The Scriptures enjoin us to be humble, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves” (Philippians 2:3). Humility is the nature and the mind of Christ, which the Bible encourages us to have as attested to by the above passages.
As you plan your life on daily basis let the Spirit of Christ guide you to be humble. Are you blessed with some resources or privileges? Do not use your wealth and skills to intimidate others. Many people have fallen by the way and they never reached the peak of their careers because of pride. “Pride goes before destruction; a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18). Do not allow pride to destroy you untimely.
Birthday Blessing: “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over-” Psa. 23:5
