1. Zion’s songs of peace are sounding
   Now again on earth;
   Come the ransomed, shouting homeward,
   All of heav’nly birth.

     Hear the song, the joyful song,
     Sung by saints ten thousand strong;
     Join with them, the strain prolong—
     Zion’s glad triumphant song.
2. Zion’s songs of glorious triumph
   Sing with joyful voice;
   Babel’s fallen, hallelujah!
   Hear the saints rejoice.
3. Zion’s song of joy and gladness
   On my ear now falls,
   And eternal peace and pleasure
   Dwell within her walls.
4. Zion’s songs of truth and freedom
   Sound from shore to shore;
   For her bondage great is ended
   Now forevermore.
