FROM DEATH TO LIFE

… I say unto you he that heareth my word … hath everlasting life, and … is passed from death unto life.
John 5:24, KJV

Life is precious and it is understandable why humans would want to do anything to keep it. People dread talking about death because they feel that doing that can bring death closer to them. The certainty, however, is that no matter how hard we try to
keep lives, we are going to lose it one day. However, the question of death should not be dreadful to those who have been born again. Verse 5 of our text states clearly what happens after death.

The solution to death in life is in hearing the Word of God and believing it. Those who have heard and believed the Word of Christ need not fear death because they have passed from death to life. Apostle Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 that God would raise to life through Jesus anyone who died in Christ.

Death on this side of eternity is only a passage to everlasting life for those who believe in the Lord Jesus and continue to live according to His words. You too can receive eternal life if you will give your life to Jesus today. He has conquered death and can give you the power to overcome death and live forever.
