CITY OF THE ALPHA AND OMEGA

He said to me: “lt is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.. Revelation 21:6, NIV

God says, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Do you notice that this is in the present continuous tense? It speaks of newness of things that will begin to evolve following the resurrection of Christ which completed the work of redemption. This marks a
new experience for all believers that is an on-going thing and which Will culminate to eternity with God at the end of the ages. Again, God’s promise to make all things new is trustworthy and true because God Himself is trustworthy and true. The phrase “It is done” also resonate the finished work of Christ upon the cross and is the same with Jesus’ declaration, “It is finished!” To emphasis this fact, the one seated on the throne declared, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.” Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet and Omega is the last letter. This expression means that God is the first and the last and everything in between. He is in control of all things, in context, of all of history.

As a child of God forget those unpleasant past and disturbing present, God is committed to doing a new thing in your life. He will see to its commitment and ensure an end that will be glorious in your life. He is the Alpha and the Omega. Rejoice.
