Tottenham striker Harry Kane signs £90,000-per-week contract

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has signed a new five and a half year contract worth £90,000.

This is a boost to the North-London club as Kane has been a key figure in Mauricio Pochettino’s side. His new deal is a significant rise on the £60,000 per-week he is receiving at the club.
The contract talk between Kane and the club reportedly hit a snag over his demand for over £100,000 per week wage.

The striker was reportedly looking to get more than £100,000 per week like his England teammates Jamie Vardy who earns around £120,000 and Daniel Sturridge who takes home about £140,000 every week at Liverpool.
Kane, however, could only get £90,000 per week with performance related bonuses taking it over £100,000 per week.
His current contract has three more years to run before the new one starts.

“It's amazing. Everyone knows how much I love this team and what I feel for this club,” Kane said.
“To sign another contract is a special feeling. We've got a great, young squad and the club is moving in the right direction.
The progression has been very quick. I first broke into the team, then scored in the Europa League, then started scoring in the Premier League, scoring in big games, a cup final, new contracts - a lot has happened.
“It’s been a bit of a whirlwind and I haven’t really taken it all in to be honest, it’s always onto the next thing. Even now, I’ve signed a new contract and it’s onto the next thing, working hard and trying to get better. The next step for us is to start winning trophies and being in those high-pressure games.”
The 23-year-old made his debut for Kane for Tottenham in made his debut in 2011 and now has 70 goals in 137 appearances.
