SHARING IN GOD’S NEW COMMUNITY
All the believers were together and had everything in common. Acts 2:44, NIV

Moving to a new community can bring a lot of challenges, especially if the community members are not welcoming and accommodating. When my family moved to a new area recently, I was overwhelmed by the warmness with which the people
received us. The pastor and members of a church we chose to attend all competed to help us settle down comfortably and showed us important places in the neighbourhood.
God showed us the best example of how to share with others by giving His only Son for our redemption. Therefore, He expects us to also do the same for others without holding anything back, just the way He gave His all to us. Believers can win and retain a lot of souls if they will show genuine affection to one another. We can make new converts to feel at home and desire to stay in our fold if we take interest in them, teach them the Word of God, and provide them with basic assistance out of a pure heart. Members on transfer from another church can see our church as ‘home-away-from-home’ if we do the same to them. You can determine to share your time, resources and attention so that others can find Christ through you.
