Kemi Olunloyo Says Seyi Law’s Daughter Is FAT As Comedian Replies

Wait! Is this Aunty Kemi alright? Put everyone out there and I mean everyone but getting low on a child is ridiculous. You claim she is overweight when you are not even a doctor. Even if you are one, things like this should be said privately to her parents, not publicly, Sigh! A lot of people have condemned her for it, especially when she splashed the photos of the yet to be 5 months old baby on her page leaving her to be ‘preyed’ on by haters. The way this lady seeks attention is out of this world. So so out. Worst of all, she is from Ibadan… a place I also have my roots. SO SAD!

Comedian (@Seyilaw1) Seyi Law’s baby is FAT! Childhood obesity is growing in #Nigeria. When Teyana Taylor sent this picture to me almost 2 yrs ago, I blogged it ripping Iman’s daughter as too fat for a baby.

Teyanna was feeding her all sorts of things. Seriously she admitted to overfeeding her and had to STOP. Below is Iman and Teyanna’s kid last June 2016 now transitioned to a healthy weight.
Though Seyi’s daughter takes his puffy face features, clearly she is overweight and her feeding schedule has to be guarded. I’m a US trained Clinical Pharmacist and and a White House award winning health educator. CONTINUE...

Childhood obesity is a serious medical condition that affects children and adolescents. Children who are obese are above the normal weight for their age and height.

Childhood obesity is particularly troubling because the extra pounds often start children on the path to health problems that were once considered adult problems diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

Many obese children become obese adults, especially if one or both parents are obese. Childhood obesity can also lead to poor self-esteem and depression when classmates and peers begin teasing them. Have a time table of what your child eats and babies, get a grip on their feeding schedule.

I only speak facts. Many Nigerians feel offended cos they are in denial. Click #hnnhealth to explore my health advise or continue to live recklessly. #hnnkids #madamhnn

Seyi Law’s response below…

Awwww!!! Dr. KEMI OMOLOLU-OLUNLOYO Pharma. D has dished out her medical advice and it is good. Nobody is perfect and sometimes our good advice or idea might come out wrongly, but that doesn't totally spoil the core of the importance. It is true there is a rise in child obesity, but concluding on a child without prior test and medical findings is professionally wrong.

Some of the main factors that leads to Obesity truly include Overfeeding, lack of activities, hormonal imbalances and genetic factors. The measurement of these factors to determine the weight level of a child is done at a more active age. It is also a natural and well known medical fact that children have a level of fat retention to help combat cold in their surroundings and as they grow and become more active, most of the fat is lost to energy burning.

If a child weighs 8.3lbs with a height of 60cm at almost 5 months, you can tell that such child is not fat, a fact that Aunty Kemi, my friend didn't check with me. It is also worthy to know that a child that feeds at 4oz (120ml) every 3 or 4 hour without breastfeeding has a healthy eating pattern. The fact that you are a pharmacist doesn't mean you know better.

The truth is I have cause to disagree with people and people with me, but I know Aunty Kemi, my friend will do better to make her findings before sharing. Thanks guys.
