They called off their engagement in July following five years of dating. But Lady Gaga only recently returned her engagement ring back to former fiancé, Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney.

According to In Touch Weekly, the international popstar, 30, was holding on to the giant rock in hopes of a reconciliation, but had no choice but to give back the heart-shaped Lorraine Schwartz sparkler as she moves on with new beau Christian Carino.

'She gave Taylor back her heart-shaped engagement ring shortly after the holidays,' a source tells the publication.

The informant divulged that even though the former couple 'had been spending time together late last year...Taylor just wouldn't commit to getting engaged again.'
