Boko Haram Suspect Arrested With N1.3m Cash, As Another Flees Camp

Troops of the Nigerian Army have arrested a suspected Boko Haram terrorist, who was in possession of N1,264,000 and CFA 160,000 cash in the Banki area of Borno State.



Punch gathered that the suspect, identified as Ari Arimaye, who said he came from Bula-Urami village, was apprehended by troops of the Operation Lafiya Dole when he was about to enter the Internally Displaced Persons camp in the area.


The cash was reportedly concealed in a black sack.

Also, a 27-year-old suspected Boko Haram member, Hassan Adamu, was arrested by troops in Mafa town while wandering in the bush. The suspect, who confessed to belong to the sect, said he was tired of its ideology and decided to find his way back to the town.
