Pensioner Arrested For Destroying Kim’s Books In Protest

A 74-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly destroying several of Kim Kardashian 's books in a store in protest. Carl Puia carried out the stunt at a Barnes & Noble store in October, it is claimed.

Police allege he left a typewritten note for staff explaining why the Glastonbury, Connecticut shop shouldn't have been stocking her Selfish release.

The man was arrested on Monday and charged with third degree criminal mischief, writes the Hartford Courant.

Police spokesman Sgt. Corey Davis said that the act of vandalism was captured on store surveillance cameras.

Puia has been released without having to post bail.

TMZ reports that police said they were not actively searching for him.

Back in October, it was reported Kim would be re-releasing Selfish - complete with a naked photo from when she was pregnant with her son Saint.

The original book featured almost 500 pictures she'd taken of herself.
