The vast, six-building property at 454 Cuesta Way, Bel Air, could be the
new home for the celebrity couple after they put a $120 million bid on
the place, Page Six reported.
The 30,000 square foot property has been completely rebuilt from the
ground up and includes eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and - for a possibly
unnecessary level of security - bulletproof windows.
Beyonce and Jay-Z's departure from New York to LA comes as they seek
additional privacy for their twins, who are expected in June.
So the home's woven metal security gates - and its location in the
exclusive and private East Gate area, also home to Selma Hayek and Tom
Jones - should do nicely.
Not that they'll feel hemmed in: The floor-to-ceiling windows and the view over LA allow for plenty of room to breathe.
And if they want to stretch their feet with the kids, that's no problem
either - the two acre plot includes 10,000 square feet of 'outdoor
living space'.
They won't even have to step foot off the property, in fact: The space
also has a media room and room for a recording studio, making working
from home a cinch. There's also a spa - with sauna, steam room and hot
tub - as well as multiple swimming pools and a 15-car garage.
House staff also live on-site, in separate buildings.
Designed by architect Paul McClean, the home is being sold off-market
with an asking price of $135 million. It's not known if there are other
bidders.
Beyonce and Jay-Z have rented mansions in LA, but never bought in the
city; they've been outbid in previous attempts by fashion designer Tom
Ford and Minecraft creator Markus Persson.
They've already been scoping out schooling for their daughter, Blue Ivy, in the area.
And they were spotted in Malibu, California, on Sunday, after dining at a beachside venue.
