16-Year-old Girl Arraigned for Luring Her Friend to Be Gang-R*ped

A 16-year-old girl, whose identity has not been made known, was today arraigned at the Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly conspiring with four men to gang-r*pe her friend.



According to PUNCH, the incident took place sometime in March at the Mega Funds Hotel in Alagbado. The accused, a student who resides in Alagbado area of Lagos, is reportedly being tried for conspiracy.

The prosecutor, Insp. Clifford Ogu, said the accused lured her friend (name also withheld) to meet a boy at the hotel where she was allegedly gang-raped by four men who are now at large.


The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum by Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Taiwo Akanni.

The case has been adjourned until the 17th of May.
