Parents Of Two Students Who Died In Fatal Auto Crash Donate Their Eyes

The families of Sanchit Chhabra and Ritu Singh, who were tragically killed in a car accident in Delhi's Punjabi Bagh,along with their friends Pranav, Garima, Rishab, Rajat and Raja, all of them students of Delhi Institute of Professional Studies, on Monday morning while they were on their way to attend an exam, have decided to donate their organs..


Sanchit’s father, Raj Kumar Chhabra, who spoke with told Hindustan Times, said that he would have donated all the organs of his son had the thought struck him on time.

Raj Kumar said;

“By the time an NGO approached us with request for donation, only eyes of my son were usable. We agreed to donate his eyes without a second thought. My son was a helpful and friendly boy. Even in his death, he will be helping people,” 

Malkhan Singh, the father of Ritu who also died in the accident told Hindustan Times that he will meet and keep in touch with the two people who will receive his daughter's eyes.
